- Student Support: Develop positive, caring relationships with students to ensure they feel safe, supported, and ready to engage in learning.
- Promote Independence: Encourage students to become more independent while maintaining high expectations for their behaviour.
- Educational Activities: Assist in delivering engaging and tailored educational activities that help students achieve their personal best.
- Classroom Assistance: Support the Class Teacher in the daily running of the classroom, ensuring smooth and effective operation.
- Adaptability: Be flexible and responsive to the evolving needs of the school, taking on a variety of tasks as required.
- Holistic Development: Help promote the cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical development of each student.
- Education: A minimum of Grade 4 or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English Language.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
- SEN Experience: Previous experience working with students with SEN is desirable but not essential.
- Transportation: Ability to commute to Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
- Compliance: You must have full-time Right to Work status in the UK.
