Pharmacy Support Worker - Stores & Distribution

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Pharmacy Support Worker to join the Stores & Distribution team at Milton Keynes University Hospital. We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication and organisation skills who is dedicated to working as part of a team.
This post will involve picking, packing and receipting of orders, stock rotation and ward supply including extended services. Working as part of a team, the role will involve lifting and moving of heavy items with appropriate training. Weekend & Bank Holiday working as part of a roster.

• To perform, under supervision, all types of pharmaceutical work appropriate to the level of knowledge and experience, to participate in the provision of pharmaceutical services to our patients and staff.
• To provide accurate, efficient, and high-quality supply service to the trust and external customers ensuring the continued quality of products, maintaining the standards required for wholesale supply, as required by the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Authority.

• Stock shelves in the Inpatient Pharmacy, Outpatient Pharmacy, and any other required location ensuring that stock is kept clean, tidy, in the correct place and used in order FEFO (first expiry first out).
• Carry out regular stock checks of medicines stored within these areas reporting any discrepancies to the Procurement Pharmacy Technician.
Wholesale specific activities (as additional job duties):
• To complete tasks within the Pharmacy branch in the area of wholesale, such as goods receipt, stock checks and reconciliation. Completion of records and packing of pharmaceutical and healthcare products.
• Receipt of wholesale medicinal products within the Pharmacy branch, checking the products against purchase orders and annotating the delivery paperwork with the details of the goods received.
