The Bid Manager is a Mid-level role based within the Managed Professional Services (MPS) division of RedRock Consulting. The Division delivers professional services within the technology space to our customers. Our customers are largely within the UK public & private sectors. We are looking for a motivated, autonomous and experienced Bid Manager to report into our Chief Digital Officer (CDO). The CDO is accountable for RedRock’s digital and growth strategy as well as supporting the design and build of all services.
Collaborating with Account Managers and Client Directors you will own and manage frameworks and portal access, support the bid qualification process, lead on and contribute to proposal content creation, be responsible for and iterate our content library and undertake analysis to ensure our approach is constantly improved. Bid managers are RedRock’s custodians of quality output ensuring we maintain high standards at all times. You will actively work with colleagues across the business including sales leads, delivery managers, technical leads and the Chief Digital, Technology and Commercial Officers. the successful candidate will need to possess the rare mix of understanding how to articulate business value in a technology world, creative thinking, stakeholder management and project management skills.
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with a significant amount of experience in bid ownership, production & writing. Our ability to win new business hinges on high quality bid responses that deliver on the outlined requirements and this role will take full ownership of bid production in our business.
Bid Management
Take responsibility for the end-to-end bid process and act as the primary touch point for all aspects of the bid, including planning, production, review and submission of bid responses within timelines.
Follow governance and procedures for an internal bid production process, including timeline management, content reviews, quality checks and formal sign off stages.
Develop content for bid responses based on information gathered from subject matter experts, conveying complex messages with clarity and simplicity.
Review and edit bid submissions to ensure compliance to all requirements, and to ensure win theme messaging is clear.
Create, author, edit, and design presentation/pitch content (“decks”) and coach bid presenters on script and narrative to convey RedRock’s proposed approach aligned to the requirement. Align bid responses to the RedRock Brand Guidelines and align tone of voice and language to the RedRock culture and values.
Support the creation of the commercial model in relation to a specific bid or framework response and align to guidance provided from the customer.
Demonstrable track record in successfully managing the production of bid responses that were taken through to contract award stage
Effective project management skills & experience
Skilled in preparing documents in Microsoft Word & PowerPoint that are to an extremely high standard and follow corporate brand guidelines
Experience of bid management specifically for complex IT solutions delivered through multi discipline teams
Experience working with opportunities in the UK government Digital & Data departments including familiarity with Government Digital Service Standards and delivery lifecycles
Experience of working across a broad range of business sectors covering both the public and private sectors
Awareness of commercial proposals and contracts

Travel Requirement: RedRock’s office is in Clifton, Bristol and we have a Working Arrangements Policy in place to help us bring our team together as much as possible. As such, we operate Monday & Thursday “all hands” days where the whole team come into the office. For local employees (within 10 miles), we require 4 days in the office, 1 from home (not withstanding on site client commitments).
