Job Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage the overall ESG processes within the organization.
* Ensure ESG initiatives are integrated into business operations and compliance is maintained with relevant standards and regulations.
* Lead engagement with stakeholders from board to operations level across all functions.
* Identify key ESG processes where process documentation and improvement are a high priority.
* Work with various ESG experts in the company to design, document, standardize, and improve their ESG processes in a step-by-step approach.
* Identify ESG requirements and partner with IS/IT to design, select/procure, implement, and set up maintenance for IT solutions and their associated processes that can meet the identified business needs most effectively.
* Build and maintain a network of similar experts in other companies to exchange best practices.
Qualifications
We are looking for a new colleague to join our team with preferably 10 years of experience, of which at least 5 years in a sustainability role. A bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or business administration is required. In this role, experience and a track record in delivering in an IS/IT and business interface role is what matters most. As our business language is English, excellent written and verbal skills of the English language is mandatory.
Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Academic background in a scientific field (natural sciences or engineering) or equivalent through experience.
* Experience with one or several sustainability reporting standards: GRI, TCFD, CDP, EcoVadis, NFRD, and/or CSRD/ESRS.
* Lead implementation of one or several ISO management standards: ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and/or ISO 9001.
* Awareness of EU ESG regulatory frameworks (EU Green Deal, EU Just Transition).
* Working knowledge of Excel and digitalization of data flows.
* Team player driven by creating and maintaining processes that enable others to work more effectively.
* Well-versed in listening, stakeholder management, and facilitating diverse groups in setting priorities during workshops.
* Structured, consistent, and pragmatic.
* Willingness to invest time in external training to address any key gaps in skills and knowledge.
* Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, driving the successful implementation of ESG initiatives.
* Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges and obstacles in ESG processes.
* Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and priorities in a dynamic environment.
* Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and integrity in ESG reporting and documentation.
* Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance ESG processes and practices.
* Networking: Ability to build and maintain a network of ESG experts and stakeholders to exchange best practices and insights.
