You’ll be responsible for a team of Warehouse Operatives, leading and monitoring colleagues to reach objectives and targets whilst adhering to all policies. This is a full-time, permanent position, working an any 5 from 7 shift pattern, 14:00 to 22:00. However, this is predominantly Monday to Friday at this time. You’ll also have access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more What you’ll do on a typical day: Carry out the day-to-day management of a team of warehouse colleagues, managing performance, setting KPI’s and driving continuous improvement Ensure effective communication is delivered to colleagues and management teams on a daily basis Focus on colleague development by implementing a consistent appraisal process Take responsibilities for Health and Safety and lead by example to ensure consistent compliance What you need to succeed at GXO: Experience leading a team of warehouse colleagues within a large, fast paced warehouse environment, ideally with temperature-controlled exposure Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation Strong IT skills, including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
