We are representing a leading law firm in Yorkshire, committed to providing exceptional legal services to their clients. We are seeking a talented and dedicated HR Advisor to join their dynamic HR team in Leeds.
Role Purpose:
As an HR Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR Manager in delivering effective HR strategies and initiatives. You will be responsible for providing HR advice and assistance to employees and managers across the firm, with support from an HR Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing HR advice and guidance to employees and managers on a range of HR issues, including employment law, employee relations, and HR policies and procedures.
2. Assisting with the recruitment and selection process, including advertising vacancies, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
3. Managing the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing employment contracts, conducting induction training, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
4. Handling employee relations matters, including disciplinary procedures, grievance procedures, and performance management.
5. Assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
6. Providing support for HR projects and initiatives.
Skills and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
2. CIPD qualification (or working towards).
3. Proven experience in an HR Advisor role.
4. Experience of working in a law firm advantageous but not essential.
5. Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong organisational and time management skills.
