We are seeking a National Facilities Manager to oversee safe and cost-effective facilities management across all UK Alliance Healthcare sites. Join us in delivering best-in-class facilities management Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety legislation, including asbestos management, fire risk assessments, and contractor management. Stakeholder Engagement: Clearly delineate responsibilities and escalation procedures for facilities issues across service centres and distribution centres. Property Evaluation: Conduct assessments of property conditions and compliance, developing maintenance and investment plans. Lease Management: Collaborate with Group Property and landlords to fulfil lease responsibilities. Facilities Management Execution: Lead the management of facilities within service centres, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency throughout each property’s lifecycle. Innovative Solutions: Implement digital and technical innovations to enhance property management efficiency and sustainability. Budget and Planning: Oversee long-term planning, budget estimation, execution, and reporting within the facilities management scope. Supplier Management: Evaluate and implement supplier contracts to improve efficiencies and cost-effectiveness. Team Development: Foster team competence and performance, ensuring a robust succession plan. Building Maintenance Programs: Develop and lead maintenance programs across service centres, introducing innovative solutions to drive operational efficiency. Project Management: Lead CAPEX and revenue projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant implementation. Business Rates Management: Liaise with Group Property and councils regarding business rates and valuation, challenging incorrect assessments when necessary. Payment Validation: Validate and approve payments related to property management, including service charges, rent, utilities, and insurance. GNFR Procurement Integration: Own the integration of GNFR procurement to ensure alignment with operational and facilities objectives. This role is a field based role with frequent travel and some overnight stays as it covers our entire UK network of sites. Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Budget management: Thorough knowledge of how to plan, organise and manage costs and expenditures for a business or organisation. Business risk management: Extensive knowledge on how to assess and mitigate risks in a business environment. Supplier management: Extensive knowledge of external service provider framework and coordination of external suppliers. Project management: General knowledge of how to initiate, plan, execute, control and close a project. Sustainability aspects in Facility Management: Good knowledge of how sustainability interacts with FM (energy consumption, water consumption, emissions, waste management, chemical products, purchasing). Facility Management scope and ways of working: Awareness of which services are included in the agreed FM service scope and understand the FM delivery model. Facility Management business processes: Good understanding of the main FM business processes (e.g. work order management for urgent, planned and reactive maintenance contract and supplier management) on site level. Technical knowledge on buildings and equipment: High level technical understanding and experience in all aspects of a Service Centre building and connected equipment as well as understanding of FM asset management (maintenance and repair history, reinvestment planning). Facility Management hard (technical) services: General knowledge of how to successfully deliver, organise and follow up on 'hard' FM services (technical maintenance, and equipment) Facility Management soft services: General knowledge on how to successfully deliver, organize and follow-up on ‘soft’ FM services (cleaning, pest control, snow removal, waste management etc.) IT tools relevant for Facility Management: General knowledge of all relevant IT tools within Facility Management.
