Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: £40,000 - £44,041.10 per annum, with potential to earn up to £45,000.00 through Ofsted and occupancy bonuses

Are you an experienced Registered Manager seeking a new opportunity to lead a children's residential service? Leader Group is working with a leading client to recruit a suitable Registered Manager for their children's home in Doncaster.
About the Role
Our client supports young people to develop emotional resilience and achieve their full potential in all areas of their lives. The home's ethos focuses on fostering appropriate relationships with young people and their significant others, supporting them as they transition into adulthood. We are currently seeking a Registered Manager to oversee a 1 and 2 -bed home in Barnsley.
Main Purpose of Job
The Registered Manager holds accountability and overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high-quality care and promoting the rights of young people as individuals. You will lead a team of care workers in line with relevant legislation and guidance to achieve good outcomes for young people, addressing their physical, psychological, emotional, and social development.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Service and Practice
* Develop and deliver high-quality care in accordance with relevant legislation, including Ofsted SCCIF and organisational policies and procedures.
* Ensure adherence to Health & Safety guidelines and that all staff have adequate knowledge and training.
* Maintain appropriate records for young people and employees, implementing monitoring and evaluation systems.
* Provide management information, including statistical data as required.
* Promote new techniques and approaches to childcare provision and contribute to the senior team.
* Attend, prepare for, and chair internal and external meetings.
* Take on-call responsibilities on a rota basis and cover sleep-in shifts as needed.
* Write concise and evaluative reports, overseeing all written communication.
* Make decisions regarding the welfare of young people and staff.
* Oversee admissions and discharges to the home.
* Lead and innovate change in line with the organisational ethos.
* Ensure all managers have or work towards a relevant Diploma level 5 or equivalent.
Human Resource Management
* Participate in recruiting new employees, ensuring all relevant checks are completed.
* Ensure staff are adequately inducted, supervised, and appraised.
* Oversee the continuous professional development of the staff team, ensuring mandatory training requirements are met.
* Maintain effective rotas and complete monthly expenses.
* Investigate grievances, complaints, and disciplinary matters according to organisational policies.
Management of Physical and Financial Resources
* Monitor the service budget and financial transactions, ensuring targets are met.
* Ensure the maintenance of service premises and equipment meets requirements.
External Affairs
* Positively promote the organisation with external agencies, other professionals, and the public.
* Liaise with commissioners/referrals manager regarding admissions.
* Attend and contribute to psychotherapy leadership and management forums, leading these meetings within the team.
Required Attributes
* Enthusiasm for providing high-quality care and education.
* Experience managing a team.
* Comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
* Familiarity with the needs of vulnerable individuals.
* High standards of safe working practice.
* Ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, young people, and outside agencies.
* Emotional resilience when working with challenging behaviour.
* Respect for appropriate boundaries and authority.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Understanding and commitment to equal opportunities.
* Holds a current UK driving licence and has access to appropriate transport.
* Flexible and reliable.
* Participate in management forums and contribute to the development of work practices, policies, and procedures.
Benefits
* 25 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays.
* £2,000 bonus for an Outstanding Ofsted report.
* Full occupancy bonus of £300 a month.
* On-call payments: £25 weekdays, £35 weekends.
* Petrol allowance (business insurance required).
* Pension in line with organisational and government guidelines.
* 39 hours per week, including sleep-in duties as per the home's rota.
* Some office days required for administrative duties.
