About the Tenancy Manager role
We have an opportunity for a Tenancy Manager to join our Customers – Services team in our South West Sydney Region. This position will be on a contract full-time basis till the 30 June 2025. This position will be based at our Liverpool, Bonnyrigg, Fairfield offices with travel to other SGCH locations as required. This role is classified as Level 4 on the SCHCADS Award and reports to the Lead, Sustainable Tenancies.
The work of a Tenancy Manager is critical to our business; you are the main point of contact for tenants to access our services and you set the standard for a positive customer experience. You are customer service focused and responsive to tenant requests – working to address day-to-day tenancy matters as quickly as possible and more broadly supporting tenants to link to services they need to improve their health and wellbeing and sustain their tenancy. You work as part of a team of dedicated SGCH team members including support coordinators and placemaking teams, and external partner organisations with a shared purpose to improve outcomes for tenants and social housing communities.
To succeed in this role, you will have experience in and passion to sustain tenancies for our customers by proactively managing property care, tenant arrears and debt, and anti-social behaviour.
About you (essential requirements)
To succeed in the role, you will have the below key attributes:
* Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, including vulnerable people experiencing homelessness, rough sleepers, people managing mental health issues, experiencing domestic and family violence, people with disability, young people, older people.
* Experience in property management in the real estate industry or in public or community housing sector.
* Knowledge and understanding of NSW Residential Tenancies Act 2010.
* Good written and verbal communication skills including interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate.
* Self-motivated with a learning mindset, with experience working autonomously.
* Current NSW driving license.
