About the Role:
UK Connect's growth has been organic and via referrals with a sales team of five people. As the Head of Sales, you'll join a financially robust and agile company poised for explosive growth. This role is not just about driving new business in our six markets but also about unlocking additional growth within our existing customer base. You will lead, develop, and hire a sales team that will transform our commercial trajectory and propel UK Connect to new heights of success.
Your Objective:
* Strategically expand UK Connect's footprint in current sectors (Construction, Defence) and new markets (Warehousing Logistics, Manufacturing, Utilities, and Mining).
* Champion customer-centric initiatives to ensure unparalleled satisfaction and loyalty.
* Spearhead new business ventures by identifying and capitalising on emerging market opportunities.
* Hire and develop a dynamic team, setting ambitious targets and driving performance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align sales and marketing with UK Connect's strategic vision.
* Support the executive team in strategic development, including building industry partnerships.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Craft and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet revenue growth targets, aligned with the strategic objectives of "Retention & Growth" and "New Market Expansion."
* Pursue new business opportunities, forging strong relationships with key decision-makers to support the strategic goal of expanding market presence.
* Engage closely with the pre-sales solutions team and other technical units to ensure a seamless customer experience.
* Foster enduring relationships with industry partners and influencers, crucial for achieving new market penetration and establishing strategic partnerships.
* Keep a finger on the pulse of market trends to proactively adapt strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
* Ensure accurate sales reporting and data compliance to support data-driven decision-making.
* Represent UK Connect at industry events and conferences, enhancing brand visibility and network.
Qualifications & Experience:
* In-depth experience within a senior commercial role, preferably in the enterprise sales or telecommunications industry.
* Experience running bids and tender responses with a good understanding of public and private sector frameworks.
* Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and market share.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on building and developing high-performing teams.
* Understanding of Wireless Connectivity and/or IoT solutions businesses.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
* Strategic thinking and the ability to align individual and team goals with the company's overall strategy.
