Job Description
Outwood Grange Academies Trust seeks applications from outstanding applicants with integrity, imagination and energy for this rewarding role. ECTs are welcome to apply.
Outwood Academy Foxhills, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire is within easy reach of Lincoln, Grimsby and the east of Doncaster. It’s most recent Ofsted inspection in November 2022 obtained the grading of Outstanding in all areas.
The department delivers a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4. The KS4 offering includes GCSE Product Design, GCSE Textiles Design and Hospitality and Catering; offering a blend of qualifications to suit the needs of every learner. Our curriculum offer is constantly under review, and you would be encouraged to participate in discussions around how we can provide a first-class Design and Technology curriculum provision for our students.
The Design and Technology department has gone through a rigorous curriculum and provision update, ensuring that the school can offer a first-class D&T education through continued investment in the latest technology and machinery.
The D&T department boasts a very spacious Product Design workshop and Textiles Design classroom, as well as a well-resourced training kitchen/classroom. The department currently consists of 3 staff members: two full-time teachers and a part-time technician working 4 days per week.
This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic, driven professionals to join our Family of Schools. An excellent knowledge and understanding of the subject is essential. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘students first’. Applications are welcome from both newly qualified and experienced professionals.
If you care about the success of your students and colleagues, and have the energy and determination to make that success a reality, we would welcome your application.
Should you wish to arrange an informal discussion or to arrange a visit to the Academy, please contact Justin Bage, Head of Creative Arts at j.bage@foxhills.outwood.com.
