I require an experienced Planner to join an established engineering firm specializing in large utility projects including Civils and Electrical works in the North of England/Scotland.
This position will require someone to work from home and take site visits as required.
My client has long-term frameworks in place working with Tier 1 clients on projects within the UK.
With a constant stream of winning tenders and an order book being filled, our client is looking for an experienced Planner who is seeking longevity, stability, and the opportunity to make a firm name for themselves within the company structure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide planning and resource scheduling support for Project Managers & Engineering design team.
2. Prepare, monitor, co-ordinate, and maintain detailed project schedules encompassing design, construction, and commissioning.
3. Regular liaison with clients, project teams, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
4. Ensure that all schedules adhere to contractual requirements.
5. Monitor project schedules throughout the entire project life cycle (planning through to execution).
6. Assist and support in preparing department resource loading and allocation.
7. Maintain schedule information to enable accurate records of contract history to be accessed.
8. Support the Project Manager in effective scenario and resource planning activities.
9. Ensure that head office requirements are fully understood and integrated into the planning functions.
10. Identification & implementation of project planning processes & procedures.
11. Support, assist, and coach less experienced planners and design coordinators.
Desired Experience:
1. Extensive program experience within a project-based team.
2. Experienced user of Primavera.
3. Experience gained from within the Civils, M+E sector would be advantageous, although experience from other industries will also be considered.
With the ability to work well as part of a team as well as effectively and autonomously when required, you will be personable, experienced within the discipline, and well-organized.
Starting salary: £55,000 – £60,000 + full package/benefits which include: 33 days holiday, annual reviews, healthcare, pension, childcare vouchers, and a host of additional benefits.
