Comprising of Anglian Water, Morrison Water Services, Barhale and Kier, the IOS Alliance work together to concentrate on solutions across the water recycling and clean water asset base, typically totalling £50-60m per year. With a workforce of circa 9,000 employees and nearly 7 million customers across the region, safety must be our number one priority as we look to provide the best water and water recycling services within our communities. To ensure our vast workforce stay safe whilst delivering critical services across the region, we are looking for a Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality and Training Advisor (SHEQT) to join the team What will you be doing as our new SHEQT Advisor? In this front-line role, you’ll be working with the IOS SHEQT Manager to support the smooth running of the department by providing proactive and flexible administrative support and documentation services as required. You’ll administer specified policies, processes and procedures providing a first line response for safety services. In addition to this you’ll assist the IOS SHE Lead in providing excellent customer service to employees, contractors and external agencies. Key responsibilities: Identify process and procedural improvements and implement these to enhance the services provided to customers Daily review to ensure accidents, incidents and near misses are managed according to set requirements Ownership of tracking RIDDOR accidents – communication, updating database and Action Tracker Review and provide administration support for safety actions on the Action tracking System, promote and improve safety e.g. award applications, safety climate surveys Ensure quality and consistency of submitted / received documents Creating team reports, directories, trackers, control of referencing, numerical sequencing and revisions of SHE documentation Environmental Audits Quality compliance Training Compliance Compliance with policy procedures and home organisation BMS What skills and behaviours do you need?
