Health and Safety Officer
Our client, a leading international bank based in London, is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join their growing team on a full-time permanent basis, offering a salary of up to £32,000 per annum. This is a full office-based position in their London branch.
What will you be doing?
As the Health and Safety Officer, your main responsibility will be to ensure that the bank is fully compliant with the UK occupational Health and Safety standards and to provide a healthy environment for staff, customers, contractors, and visitors. You will develop fire and other emergency plans for the bank, carry out any accident and incident investigations, and report under the RIDDOR legislation. You will ensure health and safety information is displayed at all branches and conduct branch visits. Additionally, you will coordinate the risk assessment programme and manage high-risk activities through a permit to work system. You will also chair and organise consultation meetings with employees, along with other day-to-day duties.
What skills will you have?
You will have between 3 - 5 years of UK working experience. You will possess an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification and have achieved a Master's degree. You will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate with staff at all levels. You will be approachable, trustworthy, and possess excellent knowledge in your field.
