Hybrid. 2/3 days per week in the office. • Role length : Initial contract until the end of MarchWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Contract Manager to join our team in Sheffield. This role is crucial for managing a diverse portfolio of contracts and ensuring strategic priorities are met through effective contract management. The Contract Manager will play a key role in the procurement and lifecycle management of contracts, ensuring they align with business objectives and deliver value. Day-to-day of the role: • Oversee the preparation and management of tender documentation, ensuring specifications are fit for purpose.• Manage approximately 10 ongoing procurements, including services such as catering at the town hall and commercial waste contracts.• Work closely with the housing service to enhance procurement and contract management processes.• Focus on contract management, ensuring contracts are executed and maintained effectively throughout their lifecycle.• Manage the energy unit, requiring presence in the office 2-3 days per week.• Lead a team of 4, focusing on procurement and contract management without the requirement for prior management experience. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Qualification in procurement or equivalent experience in a similar role.• Comprehensive understanding of the procurement process and contract lifecycle management.• Experience in managing multiple contracts simultaneously, including negotiation and securing meetings.• Strong organisational and communication skills, capable of managing a team and working collaboratively across departments.• No specific management experience required, but must be able to lead and direct a team effectively.
