Contracted hours: Full time (including some weekend working)
Hourly rate of pay: £13.00
We have an exciting opportunity now available to join our family-run group as a Recreation & Wellbeing Lead. Professional yet friendly, this role requires someone who is passionate about caring for older people and providing them with the tools to live the highest quality of life possible. You will lead our Recreation and Well-Being Team in providing a wide range of activities and entertainments to interest and stimulate our residents. What does the role involve?
Managing a team, you will be responsible for:
* Providing a varied timetable of activities, according to the wishes and abilities of residents, encouraging all members of staff to participate.
* Arranging outings and entertainments in agreement with our Home Manager.
* Assisting our Home Manager in planning special occasions such as parties, fundraising events and birthday celebrations.
* Maintaining positive links with our local community and external organisations.
* Working with families to gather life-story information to support person-centred activity care plans.
* Maintaining the Activities Team rota and liaising with our Home Manager regarding the allocation of staff.
* Ensuring our Activities budget is well managed.
* Ensuring our Home is well stocked with appropriate leisure and recreation equipment.
* Maintaining accurate records of activity for each resident, including social and well-being care plans.
* Ensuring the health and safety of the people who use our services.
* Ensuring our Company Policy on confidentiality and ‘Skills for Care' Code of Practice is adhered to.
* Providing training and development for our Recreation and Well-Being Team.
