Equans is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team in Blackburn on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and monitoring of scheduled works against programme at the Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital. It will require regular communication with Client representatives (SPV and NHS facing) and the pricing and planning of capital projects and variations.
Monitoring the performance of sub-contractors will be key to ensuring the success of the works and to enforce EQUANS safety culture. Co-ordinating invitations, preparing tenders and tender & handover reports will also form key objectives.
What will you deliver?
* Work closely with the Equans site operational team and ensure projects support and engage with the Operational teams.
* Produce annual Lifecycle plans including Schedule of Planned Maintenance programmes to be issued as per contractual calendar dates.
* Manage the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Fabric Maintenance PFI Lifecycle projects.
* Manage the in-house Project Management team and any agency/ consultancy services and contracted services to ensure service delivery is met.
* Ensuring all deliverables are to standard and specification.
* Manage projects and contractual aspects between EQUANS, clients and Contractors, ensuring the compliance of all parties.
* Work in accordance with RIBA stages or similar.
* Adhere to project delivery systems and procedures.
* Manage the timely production of O&M manuals and certification.
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Client teams.
* Produce weekly/monthly project progress report and present to client(s).
* Produce Construction Phase Plan in line with CDM 2015 and to monitor and update the plan throughout the project period.
* Work with the Programme Plan in order to track, monitor and report project status to senior management.
* Production of Project Evaluation Plans (PEP) and be responsible for monthly updating through dashboards.
* Effective Planning, allocation and management of resources.
* Always comply with EQUANS policies and procedures.
* Manage project budget and produce financial monthly report.
* Management of stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure full commitment and support for the success of the project.
* Support the PFI reporting and invoicing submissions to the specific contractual timescales.

Who are we looking for?
* Have a full understanding of CDM 2015 including producing Construction Phase Plans and monitor and update the plan throughout the project period.
* An understanding of common materials and processes for building and M&E installations.
* Capable to prepare labour/material estimates, quotation and work breakdown schedule.
* Capable of reviewing data from a variety of sources and producing and reviewing detailed programmes.
* Ability to work directly with Client team and supply chain partners.
* Knowledge and understanding of technical drawings and schematics.
* Ability to multi-task and manage own workload in a growing organisation.
* Identify, monitor, mitigate and manage project and operational risks.
* Must be self-motivated, able to work as part of a team whilst also being able to work under own initiative.
* Have commercial awareness.
* To work with Equans SHEQ team to ensure compliance with all Health and Safety & CDM regulations and obligations.
* Solid IT skills proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
* PRINCE2/ PFQ through Association of Project Management or equivalent.
* HNC/ Degree level required in either a building, mechanical or electrical discipline.
* An understanding of Health Building Notes (HBN), Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) and experience of working on acute hospital sites.
* Technical background to understand electrical and mechanical systems and previous experience of managing capital works projects.
* Completion/ Certification of recognised Construction H&S courses.
* Carry out project reporting in line with required deadlines.
* Identify, monitor, mitigate and manage project and operational risks.
* Establish and maintain good supplier relations to ensure effective delivery and quality of Installations.
* CSCS Project Manager Card.
