Operative Full time - shift work (including nights) Imerys St Austell (Rocks) Salary £28,988.52 per annum including shift allowance A hands-on role full of variety and the opportunity to learn new skills and gain valuable training in a wide range of our operations including the use of mobile plant, 4x4 vehicle driving and team leadership. What youll be doing Youll be hands on working with the team on the full operation of the main tube press as well as across a variety of process systems such as pumping, drier and wet scrubber, vacuum and air systems. Youll be handling machinery such as heat exchangers, pumps and overhead cranes and undertaking minor semi-skilled engineering tasks using a selection of hand and power tools. Youll also provide cover for the Operative (wet stock) role from time to time which involves maintaining wet stocks and the incoming quality and conditioning of the wet feed and undertaking clay sampling. The site operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and this role includes day and night shifts across a 4-week rotating shift pattern. The way this shift works means that over every two week period you will only work for seven of those days. Your skills and experience Experience of working in an industrial environment, using manual and automated machinery is important. Youll also possess the motivation and commitment to undertake training. A mobile plant licence would be ideal though training can be provided.
