In March 2024, Rochdale Town Hall opened its doors to the public, after being closed for 4 years due to major restoration works. One year on, over 100,000 people from all over the world have visited this beautiful Victorian, gothic building - many attending a wide range of events we have hosted and run here. Featuring nationally significant historical rooms, a critically-acclaimed restaurant, new learning and community spaces and a fully pedestrianised Town Hall Square, Rochdale Town Hall has been truly transformed. We host a wide variety of events including weddings, dinners, school proms, civic ceremonies and charity balls. The Casual Bar Cellar Team Leader will perform an essential role in supervising and managing the bar team, alongside acting as one of the responsible persons on events while providing exceptional customer service and supporting the delivery of events from the bar and drinks service perspective. We are looking to appoint a person with drive, attention to detail and passion to make Rochdale Town Hall one of the best events venues in the North West. Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, calm under pressure, good with people (clients and staff) and exceptionally organised. This role will report to the Events Manager, and be responsible for the management of bar staff.
