Job Summary
NHS Sussex is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to join our Community Commissioning and Transformation Team. This pivotal role will lead and oversee the commissioning and transformation of community services, ensuring high-quality care for our local population.
Main Duties of the Job
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commissioning, project management, and leadership, with a proven ability to drive strategic change in the healthcare sector. You will work closely with clinical leads, stakeholders, and partner organisations to shape and implement innovative commissioning strategies that improve patient outcomes and deliver value for money.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading the development and delivery of community commissioning strategies.
2. Providing oversight and management of contracting processes to ensure effective service delivery and compliance.
3. Driving transformation initiatives and ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
4. Managing relationships with key stakeholders and external partners, ensuring collaboration across services.
5. Overseeing the team's performance and driving continuous improvement in commissioning processes.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential:
* Educated to master's level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
* Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent.
* Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development.
* Must understand the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement.
* Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the NHS England, individual provider, and commissioning organisations.
Experience Essential:
* Experience of planning and delivering programmes and projects and services on time.
* Experience of operating at a senior level.
