Store Manager - Walsall, West Midlands
Job Type: Full Time
Reports to: Franchisee
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years' experience as a supervisor or manager in a fast food chain.
Position Summary
You are the Captain of the Ship. You are responsible for ensuring food standards, excellent service, and cleanliness of the Restaurant. You are accountable for achieving the store’s sales and profit by maintaining costs and preparing weekly rosters, all while providing a great guest experience. You will foster a motivated and cheerful working environment that encourages guests to return to German Doner Kebab.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage all areas of the German Doner Kebab Restaurant
* Ensure guest service exceeds company standards and maintain high guest satisfaction
* Respond promptly to guest complaints and resolve issues effectively
* Maintain high quality of products served
* Organize and supervise shifts to ensure team and guest satisfaction
* Train and develop staff through structured training and feedback
* Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to enhance productivity
* Forecast requirements and manage stock inventory to minimize waste
* Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
* Control costs and maximize profitability
* Promote and publicize the GDK brand
* Create a positive working environment and lead by example
* Monitor operations and implement corrective actions as needed
* Act as duty manager on a rotation basis
* Manage financial aspects including sales, costs, and profits
* Analyze sales and profitability, organize marketing activities
* Prepare reports and develop plans for sales and staff development
* Set and manage budgets with the franchisee
* Coordinate restaurant operations during shifts
* Manage team welfare and provide feedback
* Ensure staff adhere to uniform standards
* Greet guests and manage reservations
* Supervise kitchen, dining, and counter shifts
* Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety
* Manage stock levels and ordering
* Handle cash and petty cash
* Support operational needs as required
* Encourage teamwork, cooperation, and a positive attitude
* Complete daily reports and attend training/meetings
* Perform other duties as required by the Operations Manager
* Ensure restaurant security and compliance with legal responsibilities
* Coordinate stock deliveries and maintain accurate records
* Maintain cleanliness and security of stock areas
* Collaborate with supervisors on stock control and margins
* Monitor stock levels and order in a timely manner
* Provide excellent customer service and staff training
* Lead in maintaining high food quality standards
* Support staff during peak times and operational duties
* Ensure team grooming and adherence to legal standards
* Maintain a high standard of food safety and hygiene certificates
* Ensure equipment maintenance and safety

Qualifications
A qualified candidate should have excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and team spirit. The following are required:
* Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager
* Experience in customer service management
* Extensive food knowledge
* Proficiency in English
* Computer literacy and management software skills
* Strong leadership and motivational skills
