Our client, a UK leading manufacturer with plants in different countries, require a Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer. This is a permanent position working on days paying up to £40,000 per annum. Details: The role is based in Runcorn & on days, working from 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday. (40 hours per week) The salary for the role is £38,000-40,000 per annum DOE. On call 1 week in 4 & paid 4 hours at Double Time if called out. To be considered for the role the following experience/skills is required; Responsibilities: Carry out a full range of engineering and mechanical maintenance duties for the entire site, diagnosing and resolving faults. Use predictive maintenance methods and knowledge of machinery and environment to ensure maximum uptime of plant and equipment. Use of CMMS system to record mechanical maintenance and breakdown activities. Proactive in maintaining, developing and implementing site improvement processes or projects to make the plant safe, deliver site efficiency and performance. Executing work to specific Health and Safety, Company and Industry Standards and Regulations to ensure operational excellence, quality and safety and that all maintenance is carried out using Safe Systems of Work. Support local contractor management processes ensuring they are following Health and Safety Standards. Skills & Qualifications needed: Time served apprentice / BTEC National/NVQ or equivalent Experience of safely maintaining medium to heavy mechanical plant equipment, which may include: Screening, crushing, milling, dust extractions, mixers, conveyors, pneumatic controlled machinery. MIG/Stik welding skills would also be beneficial but not essential. IT Skills particularly Microsoft Office suite. Experience in Lean Manufacturing Methods and Roof Cause Analysis will be advantageous Experience in using a CMMS system to record maintenance activities.
