Bakery Supervisor
Based near Stonehouse our client is seeking a Bakery Manager to supervise a small successful team.
We are a small team of committed people on a mission to produce the most scrumptious organic loaves, breads and cakes to the vegan and health market globally. Our fascinating production process means we deliver not only on taste but on a long shelf life too. Due to expansion in our bulk production lines and projected growth in sales forecast, we are looking to add to our team of hands on, multi-skilled Bakery Production Operatives and require a dedicated Supervisor to work alongside them.
What will you be doing?
You will be a key figure in the business, setting and maintaining operational standards. You will assist in all aspects of bakery production, including mixing, shaping, baking, and packaging, ensuring the highest quality of our products. You will be operating a range of equipment safely to produce our unique breads and cakes. You will also oversee the bulk seeds production, supervising the sprouting and sterilising process.
Responsibilities:
* Supervising a small team of bakery operatives, overseeing daily bakery operations
* Working closely with the Operations Manager to implement and streamline business operations to maximise efficiency
* Assisting the production manager to conduct monthly 1:1s with bakery staff and setting and monitoring monthly SMART objectives
* Manage raw material inventory, conducting weekly and monthly stock takes
* Managing finished and semi-finished goods as per FIFO procedures
Requirements:
* A history of managing and motivating a team

* Health, Safety and Hygiene Aware – You must adhere to the health and safety policies for our business. Don’t worry, we will talk you through everything you need to know before you start work. As you will be working with food, a clean and hygienic approach with yourself and to your environment is required.
* Physically fit - is required for standing long periods, manual handling of heavy sacks and machinery
