We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Clerk to join a team based near Richmond.
The role and responsibilities:
* To manage a portfolio of clients’ accounts
* To input into sales and purchase ledgers
* Producing VAT returns
* To assist the Accounts Team with monthly management reporting and debtors’ reports
* Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
* Any other reasonable duties as required within the team
The skills they are looking for:
* Have a relevant accounting qualification or equivalent in experience
* At least 3 years’ experience in an accountancy/book-keeping role
* Experience of IT systems - Sage, Xero
* Good level of numeracy and analytical skills
* Ability to prioritise busy workload
* Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines
* Ability to act on own initiative whilst also working within Company processes and procedures
* Good organisational skills
* Pays attention to detail
* Interpersonal skills - ability to communicate with people at all levels
* Possesses tact, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
* Experience within a professional services organisation preferred, but not essential
