Mechanical Design Engineer A leading engineering company is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of innovative technology within the energy and manufacturing sectors. This job provides the opportunity to work on a variety of design projects, from initial concept through to production-ready solutions, in a forward-thinking and sustainability-focused environment. Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer include: Produce detailed 3D models, technical drawings and assemblies using CAD software. Develop and refine designs to meet engineering and manufacturing requirements. Work closely with production and R&D teams to optimise product development. Conduct design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Generate technical documentation and maintain accurate design records. Support prototype development and testing, making design modifications as required. Requirements Previous experience as a CAD Design Engineer or in a similar role. Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software). Good understanding of mechanical design principles, materials and manufacturing processes. Experience in producing technical drawings and engineering documentation. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. What This is Offering A salary of £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience. Share Options Scheme.
