Job Description
Wincanton are looking for a Security Services Cluster Manager to join the team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Security Services Cluster Manager, ideally based from the North Midlands area. You will travel to sites within your area of responsibility (indicative - Midlands; M6; M62; M18 corridors), providing leadership and direction for the Crime & Security Team Leader and Officer population, ensuring service excellence is at the forefront of their role.
Building strong and lasting relationships with site management, you will champion your team's ability to provide a professional and positive lasting impression, protecting colleagues, property, and brand.
The role is offered initially on a fixed term contract, with contract renewal discussions taking place late 2025.
Reporting to the Security Services Operations Manager
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000
Contract: Fixed Term Contract until December 2025
How will you contribute?
1. Maintain service excellence, managing, coaching, and developing Crime & Security Officers and Team Leaders within your area of responsibility.
2. Maintain awareness of contract specific security and risk reduction duties across your cluster group and coach and train your teams to deliver their responsibilities as defined in documented SOP/SSOW.
3. Support for a risk-based security review programme maintaining Authorised Economic Operator status compliance and accreditation.
4. Ensure all key performance targets and service levels are delivered and where required measures are put in place to address any shortfalls.
5. Maintain your own personal development and continuous improvement, attending relevant training sessions provided by Wincanton to ensure you are fully equipped to perform your role effectively, especially relating to safety courses.
What will you bring?
1. Proven experience of managing teams within the security sector or similar industry.
2. SIA licensed, with experience of operational security and risk mitigation across a supply chain environment or similar industry.
3. Proficient with Microsoft Office products, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and an excellent communicator, both written and verbal at all levels of the business.
4. Self-motivated, enthusiastic and has excellent time management skills.
5. Full UK driving license.
6. Able to achieve government SC clearance as required.
