What you'll be doing;
Ensure effective resource allocation based on waste volume Including: agency staff and 3rd party haulage
Monitor and maintain costs within the agreed budgets and produce a monthly report
Complete detailed weekly report to cascade to relevant business managers
Manage driver compliance in line with company policy and regulatory requirements including;
digital tachograph, start and end of day checks, driver debriefs, gate checks and licensing mandates
Work with all stakeholders to ensure a safe working environment for all Veolia & non Veolia personnel, manage reporting utilising business applications (AVA)
Manage transport operations in line with the Operator Licence undertakings and in partnership with the fleet, and fleet compliance teams
On call rota 1 in every 4 weeks Monday - Sunday
What we're looking for;
Transport Managers Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
Previous experience gained in a similar role and customer facing experience is essential
Competency Management System (CMS) - Managing a site with an environmental permit is highly desirable
Knowledge and experience of the waste industry
IOSH managing safely
