Teaching Personnel can provide a unique opportunity to graduates to gain paid experience within a school which will help an application for a teaching qualification.
A Manchester based school is looking to recruit a graduate teaching assistant to support on a 1 to 1 basis in the classroom. The school itself is comprised of 2 forms, with a diverse range of students. This role in particular would be to support an SEN child, providing a positive influence and someone the child can build trust with.
The ideal candidate will be:
* A degree in a relevant field (psychology, early years etc.)
* Nurturing and able to build positive relationships
The school itself is rated “outstanding” by OFSTED framework and comprises of three forms. The staff are incredibly welcoming and supportive, ensuring you will feel settled quickly in the school. The schools team are comprised of experience and junior employees, providing an atmosphere based on knowledge and creativity.
This role will include:
* Supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis who is new to the school
* Provide academic intervention on the core subjects including English, Maths and Science
* Mentor the pupil
* Deescalate challenging situations
* Provide positive encouragement for the pupil
* Help them to adapt to the new school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
