Northstone Materials Limited is seeking applications for the position of a Payroll Administrator on a 12 month contract based at our Coleraine offices.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-orientated and organised individual with a strong background in payroll administration to contribute to a well-established local company.
Reporting to the Payroll Co-ordinator, the Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with HR, Finance and our operational teams to ensure our payroll processes run smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will also play a role in supporting an upcoming payroll upgrade project, assisting with a smooth transition for employees.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
1. Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for weekly employees;
2. Handle payroll-related queries from employees and management;
3. Maintain up-to-date payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation;
4. Assist with payroll audits and reporting requirements;
5. Provide support to the payroll upgrade project;
6. Keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation and best practices;
7. Liaise with HMRC and other external bodies as required.
The above list is not exhaustive. The successful candidate will be expected to perform duties as necessitated by the changing role and the overall business objectives of the Company, as directed by the Payroll Co-ordinator.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a weekly payroll administration role;
2. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes;
3. Good understanding of PAYE, NIC, pensions, and statutory payments;
4. High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
5. Proficiency in IT systems, particularly Microsoft Excel and payroll software;
6. Ability to manage confidential information with discretion;
7. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines;
8. Previous project experience.
