Job Role: Small Tools Fitter
Location: Telford, Shropshire
Salary: £27,000-£29,000 (Overtime Available + Full training)
Hours: Monday-Friday 07:00-16:30

The Client:
Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established national plant hire firm to support the growth of their team. Our client, who has been established for over 50 years, is looking to onboard and train engineers from either a plant, HGV, automotive, or agricultural background. They offer a comprehensive training scheme alongside relevant internal progression routes.
The Package:
* 22 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays / Increasing by 1 day for every year of service (25 overall)
* All overtime over 8 hours per day is paid at 1.5x (£21 per hour)
* Salary Sacrifice Scheme for an additional 5 days annual leave per annum
* Full training & development with a focus on internal progression (Workshop/Mobile Engineer > Lead Engineer > Hiring Manager > Site Manager > Regional Manager)

The Requirements:
* Previous experience working within the automotive industry or mechanical fitting
* Experience working on engines is advantageous
* Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience
* A desire to lead, manage, and grow a team
* Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in automotive engineering (advantageous)
* Willingness to undergo full training and development within the plant industry
* Full UK Driver's License
The Responsibilities:
* Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Carry out maintenance and repairs on an array of small tools (saws, drills, mini diggers, etc.)
* Complete further training on the wider kit list.
* Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
* Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.
* Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting.
* Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance.
