Job Title: Primary School SEN Support Worker
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and caring SEN support worker to join our team at a mainstream primary school in Cheltenham. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with autism and PMLD (profound multiple learning difficulties) on a 1:1 basis.
Working Environment:
The primary school we are partnering with has an Ofsted rating of 'Good' and is based near the St. Pauls area of Cheltenham. The school values the well-being and educational needs of all its pupils, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for students and staff alike.
Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement tailored educational plans for students with complex needs. This may involve supporting students with daily living skills, communication, and behaviour management.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as patience and empathy when interacting with students. A Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Childcare or a related field would be advantageous but not essential.
Salary and Benefits:
This position comes with a competitive salary of £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits including pension scheme and CPD opportunities.
