Our client is a well-established mechanical and electrical services provider, specialising in commercial gas and heating, hot water supply, HVAC, and planned/reactive maintenance. They work across both private and commercial sectors, delivering high-quality solutions for a wide range of clients. With a strong reputation for excellence, they are expanding their team and looking for a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to support their growing portfolio of projects.
Role Overview
They are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to handle maintenance, small installations, and repairs on various air conditioning systems. The role covers sites within the M25 and surrounding areas, and candidates must be comfortable working in mental health units and schools.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers.
* Carry out small-scale installations and commissioning of new units.
* Diagnose and resolve faults in HVAC systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
* Maintain accurate service records, job sheets, and maintenance logs.
* Communicate professionally with clients, including NHS staff, ensuring their requirements are met.
* Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure efficient service delivery.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent).
* Minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance and small installations within the HVAC industry.
* F-Gas certification (essential).
* Experience working in healthcare environments (preferred but not essential).
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* A valid UK driving licence is required.
* Comfortable working in mental health units as part of NHS.
* Enhanced DBS is beneficial.
