This is a long-term contract position within the rail industry. It is important to note that this position falls inside IR35, and only candidates willing to work under an umbrella or PAYE arrangement will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading an installation team, including subcontractors, suppliers, and 3rd parties, including implementation of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards into construction planning and works.
2. Managing and coordinating with supervisors to ensure the works are raised and planned safely on site.
3. Organising suppliers and sub-contractors to achieve efficient integration into the Plan.
4. Overseeing site compliance and construction process.
5. Assessing and adequately mitigating all risks, including those associated with working within the railway environment.
6. Creating work package plans, task briefing sheets, and managing them through to acceptance.
7. Creating ITPs to include safe switching, isolation, and re-energisation procedures through to acceptance.
Experience Required:
1. Railway sector experience.
2. Electrically biased.
3. Thorough knowledge of M&E/E&P installations.
4. Previous experience managing teams on-site.
5. LV experience - 650v, points heating, DNO's, signalling power, Junction Lighting.
6. Help to build and retain an efficient delivery and installation team.
7. Promote and embed a culture where people can speak up and be supported.
8. Participate and deliver regular team briefings.
9. Help with the content and delivery of safety stand down days for the team.
10. Carrying out regular safety tours and submitting reports.
