Initial 3 month Contract
Hays are working with a local Birmingham based council to recruit a qualified lawyer. In this hybrid role, you will provide quality practical advice and support on public procurement and commercial contracts, including contract negotiation, drafting, and contract disputes. You will also assist our Principal Lawyers with specialist and complex contracts, procurement work, and high-level projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert advice on public procurement and commercial contracts.
2. Negotiate, draft, and manage contract disputes.
3. Support Principal Lawyers on complex contracts and high-level projects.
Requirements:
1. Qualified lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEx)).
2. Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience.
3. Experience in a Local Authority or public sector setting, focusing on contracts and procurement.
