Description
Title: Sales Account Coordinator
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, Up to two to four days per week in office
Facility location: Chester, CT
Summary: The Mass Notification Sales Account Coordinator is responsible for validating purchased orders received, entering orders, validating the entered order for accuracy, writing quotes and supplying pricing for our Mass Notification products. Works closely with customer/distributors, Whelen National Sales Manager, other Whelen cross-functional departments, Whelen Authorized Managing Sales Representatives (AMSRs), and their office personnel/sub representatives are supported for the prompt and seamless processing of orders. Additionally, the Mass Notification Sales Account Coordinator maintains our ISO dashboard by keeping track of the number of orders entered daily and noting any errors.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Responsible for processing simple and complex orders, and other tasks within functional discipline
* Ensure all orders delivered to the Mass Notification Sales Office are clean and can be entered without interruption; this might include voice messages, radio frequencies, end customer names, pricing, and any special instructions
* Orders that are received with complete information must be entered within 24 hours of receipt or include notations on the order explaining why they cannot be entered
* Work with customers to gather missing information from their PO’s
* Verify customer and order information for accuracy, while checking it against previously obtained information as necessary
* Maintain daily ISO documentation
* Enhance customer satisfaction through exceptional customer service
* Contributes to the team or department by applying their knowledge of one or more functional areas
* Make suggestions to management for the continued improvement and efficiencies of the sales department
* Understands and incorporates the goals and concepts of the business to achieve sales and profitability
* Works closely with production, sales, shipping, accounting, technical support, repair service and other departments in the company to ensure complete customer satisfaction of the processed orders
* Responsible for expediting, following through, tracking shipments to customers, and reporting disruptive customer request trends
* Inform customers by email or telephone of order information, such as unit prices, shipping dates, and any anticipated delays
* Navigate and manage customer and field sales requests. This may include quotes, expedites, and various projects. The Mass Notification Sales Support and Account Specialist is empowered to quote based on the direction/guidelines set forth by the National Sales Manager and Director of Sales
* Has a solid understanding of the fundamentals and disciplines of the role while continuing to develop knowledge
* Adheres to sales policies and procedures when processing orders according to department guidelines and policies
* Review all selections and options to ensure PO is accurate upon order processing
* Support and assist customers with order-related questions and help escalate calls to the appropriate cross-functional teams for exceptional customer sales support and service.

Education and Experience
* High School Diploma w/2+ years’ related experience
* Associate's degree w/2+ years’ experience preferred
