This particular job opportunity coincides with the recent announcement from the Department for Levelling Up Housing and Local Communities to award Birmingham City Council with Supported Housing Improvement Programme funding to continue the multi-disciplinary work to improve supported housing provision in the City. A number of exciting positions are now being recruited to within the City Housing Directorate. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who can provide first class support to a busy and high performing team. Key Skills/Abilities You should be a competent administrator who is used to working in a fast-paced environment where meeting deadlines and attention to detail are important. You should be able to lead on some tasks and take responsibility for work that is assigned to you. A good standard of literacy and communication skills is essential as you will be expected to liaise and respond to internal and external partners, citizens and elected members alike. You should be fully conversant in the use of the suite of MS Office applications. You should be able to maintain and develop systems as required (e.g. monitoring, recording, processing and reviewing of information), including provision and analysis of data and information, ensuring confidentiality is maintained in all areas and to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act principles. You will be expected to fully support meetings as required by the business including the provision of minute-taking or note-taking as appropriate.
