Job Title: Lead Planner - PMO
Working Pattern: 37 hours days

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Planner to join our Project Management Office.
You will work as a Lead Planner to define planning standards, scheduling governance and assurance, implement the APly planning process and maintain Primavera P6 for the Submarines Business.
You will interface with the Programme Teams to provide guidance support and monitoring throughout the programme lifecycle, facilitating the teams in providing accurate and timely management information.
You will support Lead Planner and Planner Forums, to improve planning and scheduling processes.
You will be involved in delivering Read/Write Primavera P6 training, coaching and mentoring planners from across the business.
You will support Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) for the Project Management Function. This will involve providing and defining training, guidance, governance, and assurance to Schedule Risk Analysis activities.
What you will be doing:
* Planning, Scheduling (P6), and Management information System integration and support.
* Actively facilitate development and ensure the on-going maintenance of the programme schedule (Integrated Milestone Plan and Integrated Master Schedule).
* Support and develop Primavera P6 Layouts, Coding and UDFs.
* Support Permissions and EPS structure.
* Ensure that the scope of work being planned is fully logic linked with the wider work scope, undertake tracking, and maintain dependencies, identifying and reporting deviations and triggering exception reports as appropriate.
* Facilitate project planning, risk and opportunity meetings with programme team members.
* Assist in the development of the schedule Performance Measurement Baseline [PMB] with the project teams and the on-going management of it through the change control process.
* Collect programme status information to maintain and update schedules and issue management information as required. This will require schedule variance analysis, identification of schedule risks, issues and opportunities together with Critical Path Analysis.
* Support in the development and delivery of SRA software Training and techniques.
* Support and Develop the maturity and deployment of SRA modelling within the programmes.
* Work with the Control Account, Programme teams and key stakeholders to ensure that a credible and robust Risk Modelling process is adopted.
Who we're looking for:
* Project Planning and Primavera P6 to expert level.
* Experience of working in an Integrated Project Team environment ideally gained within engineering/manufacturing/Infrastructure sectors.
* Experience of leading software adoption and implementation within Project Teams.
* Experience of developing schedules of work involving multiple projects using Primavera P6, with the ability to apply sound logic when translating information into a logical sequence of events, which require fully linked dependencies.
* Experience of delivering training and working towards a related professional qualification (APM) or entry level qualification (HND, Foundation Degree or equivalent).
* Ability to deliver accurate work within service level agreements and use initiative to work through issues and barriers.
* Experience of managing several tasks simultaneously, prioritising activity to meet deadlines.
To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don't currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
