Major Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quality Auditor to join our client's site at their manufacturing facility near Derby.
The Quality Auditor will be a key team player to assist the Quality Manager with the responsibility of Quality and Food Safety management systems.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Auditor:
1. Complete monthly KPI reports, summarising issues and trends.
2. Daily monitoring of product quality.
3. Assisting with the TACCP/VACCP systems.
4. Managing the internal audit schedule, chasing up outstanding audits, logging non-conformances, and ensuring completion of actions raised.
5. Active HACCP team member, able to complete tasks on the site's HACCP system.
6. Completing internal audits.
7. Monitoring of internal non-conformances ensuring that they are completed with effective corrective actions.
8. Writing Product Specifications and amending when necessary.
9. Checking artwork against approved specifications.
10. Logging and communicating concession requests.
11. Trend concessions and report trends to Technical management/site KPI report monthly.
12. Trend non-conformances and report trends to Technical management/site KPI report monthly.
13. Challenge traceability from raw material receipt to dispatch of finished product, including completing mass balance exercises and managing the traceability schedule.
14. Complete pre-launch document checks and handover products to production.
15. Attend trials and report back any concerns to the Technical team.
16. Investigate customer complaints and work collaboratively with production to identify root causes.
17. Investigate foreign body finds.
18. Manage calibration of equipment.
19. Complete ad hoc tasks issued by the Technical Manager.

Skills Required to be a Quality Auditor:
1. Previous experience working in a QA or Technical role.
2. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
3. BRCG experience.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
1. HACCP Level 2 Training & Auditing (desirable).
2. Level 3 Food Safety.
3. Internal Auditor.
