Do you thrive in working a precision focussed production role requiring a high level of attention to detail? Have you got good manual dexterity and experience of working with small components? If so, we want to hear from you!
Amber Therapeutics are looking for a Production Assembler to make a real impact on patients’ lives as we develop a closed-loop neuromodulation therapy to treat mixed urinary incontinence. This is a full-time, permanent role initially based at Welwyn Garden City, however this will move to a new facility in Harwell, Oxfordshire around May 2025 once the facility is open. For applicants who are unable to relocate or commute to the new site, we would consider a 9 month fixed-term contract for Welwyn Garden City. Salary is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent on experience.
The Role
An exciting opportunity to join our small, dynamic team, you will be responsible for carrying out the assembly and processing of sterile active implantable medical devices. This role is highly focussed and involves being trained to assemble electro-mechanical implantable devices under a microscope within a cleanroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assembling electro-mechanical assemblies (micro-components) in a cleanroom environment under disciplined conditions.
* Adhering to quality assurance & regulatory requirements including completing batch, and other documents diligently and accurately thereby assuring robust records.
* Maintaining material stock record accuracy.
* In-process inspection of own work and independent verification and testing of others’ work.
Skills & Experience
* Experience of assembly with small components in a highly focussed role.
* Experience in visual inspection and excellent eye to detail required.
* Demonstrable practical skills with very high manual dexterity essential.
* Experience of electro-mechanical assemblies or medical devices an advantage but not required.
* Knowledge of, and worked to the requirements of industry standards beneficial.
The successful candidate should have demonstrable practical skills, a high level of manual dexterity, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work successfully both within a team and independently. With a strong work ethic, you will have good interpersonal and communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. Knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies within a highly regulated environment (e.g. medical aerospace, defence) would be ideal, however we are happy to consider candidates without this experience who are keen to learn new skills. This is a great opportunity to learn to assemble electro-mechanical micro-components under a microscope.
About Us
Amber Therapeutics is developing a closed-loop neuromodulation therapy able to treat mixed urinary incontinence for the first time and transform the clinical outcome of a very large untreated patient population. Amber’s approach leverages the intelligent capability of its next-generation neuromodulation platform, the Picostim-DyNeuMo, to create ‘synthetic reflex arcs’ that can sense, interpret, adapt and respond to a patient’s individual signals thereby restoring normal physiological function. This principle can be used in broader functional disorders of the nervous system that the Company’s academic partnerships are exploring.
What We Offer
This is a chance to be part of a ground-breaking team creating life-changing therapies for millions of people globally. You join us at an exciting phase of our development, as we expand the team and accelerate towards our first Pivotal Trial.
We look forward to hearing from you.
