Catering Assistant
The Governors of Brook Primary School are seeking to appoint an eager and committed Catering Assistant to work in conjunction with our existing catering staff to enhance the learning and well-being of our students by providing good quality food every day.
Candidates should be self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic with the ability to offer excellent customer service. Experience in a school environment would be desirable.
The successful candidate will work flexibly and as part of a team assisting in the basic preparation of food and refreshments, which may include some cooking, serving meals to pupils and staff and assisting with the care and cleaning of all kitchen and dining room equipment.

Hours: 10 hours (Monday to Friday 11.30am – 1.30pm)
Salary: Grade 2 - £24,027 pro rata
Start date: ASAP as soon as satisfactory clearances are received
You will need to be diligent, efficient and professional. In addition, it is essential that you have the ability to work effectively as part of a team or alone.
You will need a Level 2 Food Safety qualification, or be willing to complete and pass it within your first 12 months of service. You will also have experience of delivering excellent customer service and working as part of a team.
