End User Computing Support Analyst - Student Placement This is a 12 month fixed term contract for undergraduates to undertake an industrial placement as part of a sandwich degree course between years 2 and 3 of a Bachelor degree. Start date summer 2025. We provide a wide range of engaging content including horse and greyhound racing, virtual racing, live number draws and e-sports. Job Purpose The End User Computing Support Analyst is responsible for supporting End User Computing (EUC) activities in SIS. SIS uses Microsoft 365 cloud for its corporate technology estate including Entra ID, Office 365 and Exchange 365. Microsoft Azure cloud is heavily used for data processing and system components with Cloud Operations and Cloud Platform teams who maintain and manage these environments. Key Responsibilities In line with the SIS values, the main responsibilities of the End User Computing Support Analyst are set out below. Support and management of the EUC hardware and software estate, ensuring compliance, governance, version control, and clarity of purpose and use Continuous review of the EUC service offerings, seeking to improve and increase user satisfaction and deliver an excellent user experience Stock management of IT devices and peripherals including asset management Responsible for ensuring open incidents and requests are addressed according to service levels Troubleshooting and support of Teams Rooms conference devices and associated audio & visual devices Joiner / mover / leaver process for account management and equipment As needed, perform visits to London, Milton Keynes and Manchester sites to resolve technical issues and provide support as needed to ensure end user satisfaction levels remain high Mobile device management (MDM) via Apple and Samsung Knox Support sending, receiving and packaging of IT equipment for SIS colleagues Skills and Experience Experience of providing technical support to colleagues, or friends/family Ability to troubleshoot technical problems using knowledge, or online resources Understanding of desktop and laptop hardware Experience of using and supporting Windows 10 / 11 Competent using Microsoft 365 products Analytical mindset Basic networking knowledge and understanding Rounded overall IT knowledge and awareness required Qualities Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills Success-driven and customer orientated mindset Collaborative and pragmatic Excellent people skills Attention to detail in all aspects of work Reporting Lines and Key Relationships The role reports to the Infrastructure Operations Manager and works closely with the End User Computing Engineer. Working location & Hours The role is based in Milton Keynes office. 37.5 hours per week working pattern. The need for out of hours support is needed on an ad hoc basis due to the nature of support in a 24/7 business model.
