You are encouraged to be in the office most of the time, as we believe this dynamic environment is the best place to learn, network and have fun whilst being an early careers professional. Part of being an apprentice at Siemens means you get to work on real life projects whilst also being supported. During this apprenticeship you will work towards a n Honours Degree in Embedded electronic systems design and development which has been accredited by one of the Professional Engineering Institutions licensed by the UK Engineering Council. As an electronic s design degree apprentice your role w ill include: Gaining a foundational understanding of electrical principles and the functionality of common electronic components. Creating both simple and complex circuits, utili s ing computer tools for design and testing. Writing well-structured and organi s ed code, with skills in project planning and management. Adhering to safety protocols, business fundamentals, and international standards in product development. Collaborating with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure embedded systems meet all technical and functional specifications. Developing and executing test plans to ensure the performance and reliability of embedded systems. Continuously learning and staying updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in embedded systems design and development. Documenting all designs and developments thoroughly, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Using analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the design, development, and deployment of embedded systems. What do I need to apply? Will have achieved English Language at GCSE (grade C or above). You will have achieved or be on track to achieve A-Level standard or equivalent, in Mathematics and at least one further STEM based subject such as Physics, ICT, Computing or Electronics. We also welcome applications from those with a BTEC Level 3 certificate in related subject area with at least a DDM grading. A n alternative to an English Language qualification would be British Sign Language (BSL) for those whose primary language is BSL. The entry requirement for this apprenticeship is a minimum of 104 UCAS points therefore you must be on track to achieve or have already achie ved this to be accepted onto our apprenticeship scheme.
