We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who would relish the opportunity to share their knowledge, skills and industry experience to teach, support and develop our next generation of engineers. This is a great opportunity to inspire our future engineers, teaching across a range of vocational engineering & manufacturing programmes and Apprenticeship Standards. Predominantly our Level 3 programmes such as our BTEC Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and our T Level Engineering Manufacturing Design and Development. The successful candidate would need engineering & manufacturing/design technology experience to deliver a range of topics from engineering materials and processes to engineering design, as well as project based teaching, supporting students to develop skills to create successful protypes and solutions. General workshop skills are an advantage, any experience with Computer Numerical Control & Manufacture (Lathe & Mill), 2D / 3D CAD (e.g. AutoCAD, Solidworks), 3D printing/additive manufacture would be of benefit, but not essential. About the person You may be an experienced FE trainer/tutor, or a newly qualified tutor/teacher, however we would encourage applications from those working in design, manufacturing and/or engineering industry. Experience of leading projects/programmes would also be of benefit. You should have a minimum of HND in a relevant Engineering discipline, or/and relevant industry standard qualifications and experience. You will ideally possess a recognised teaching qualification and assessor/IQA awards, or be willing to work towards these with funding support from the College. Recent experience within a manufacturing / engineering industry would be a significant advantage. Candidates may offer skills and experiences suitable for a proportion of role or the total 37 hours per week.
