WHAT TO EXPECT:
The Design Visualisation and Animation department ( DVA ) is a highly creative and multi-faceted team that provides a high level of visual output including; animations, stills, live, virtual presentation material, filming and motion graphics using industry recognised software and processes. The team also have the responsibility for delivering externally facing assets in the form of Photo-realistic images, Launch animations, Web Configurator, Filming and Graphical Assets.
This role is to join the Configurator team; working as a team to deliver a full CGI web-based configurator for all JLR car lines, whilst also looking at future plans/toolsets to both improve quality and efficiencies.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
• The ability to create 3D Still visual stimulus for customers in Design, to the highest levels of visual quality.
• Identify potential process or system improvements where applicable.
• Assist with data preparation of CAS models for use within Configurator toolsets.
• Attend Design Studio programme start up meetings for current programme awareness and involvement and relay this information back to the Design Visualisation Manager and the relevant sub-teams within DVA.
• Interact with key disciplines to achieve the required deliverable
• Manage supporting Programme Trackers and BOMs, updating documentation as required
• To be self-initiated daily whilst responding to the requirements of the Design Visualisation Managers, Designers, Design Managers and Design Directors.
• Apply common sense at all times seeking the most cost-effective methods of achieving the task of delivery of Visual stimulus to a fit-for-purpose standard, for reviews, with the given timelines.
• Comply with company policy and procedures, particularly with Design Studio and data security.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
• Strong level of experience in the creation of Visual Stimulus (e.g. Computer Generated stills/animation, VR, real-time)
• Strong level of experience using relevant Design software (Autodesk Maya/3DS Max, VRED, Vray, Adobe creation suite)
• Understanding of CG Render pipelines
• Strong understanding of Digital Material Creation and Translation processes
