Job Description
A Lead Fire Safety Engineer will be responsible for leading fire safety assessments and developing fire strategies for nuclear safety cases.
This role involves producing Fire Hazard Assessments, collaborating with project managers to deliver cost-effective solutions, managing a team of fire assessors, and liaising with senior management and regulators.
The successful candidate will have expertise in fire modelling, thermal properties, and design fire specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading fire safety assessments and developing fire strategies for nuclear safety cases
* Producing Fire Hazard Assessments and delivering cost-effective solutions
* Managing a team of fire assessors and communicating with senior management and regulators
* Providing expertise in fire modelling, thermal properties, and design fire specifications
Requirements:
* Degree in science or engineering and proven fire safety engineering experience
* Knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and fire engineering software
* Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills
* Chartered engineer status or membership of IFireE (desirable)
