Job Purpose: As a Supplier Performance Manager in the Supply Chain Department, you will play a critical role in enabling the efficient and effective performance of our suppliers. You will be working closely with the Supply Chain Department to monitor, evaluate, and improve the performance of our suppliers to enhance the overall supply chain efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of aerospace industry requirements, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build collaborative relationships with suppliers. The role will require applying established capability working with complex Electro-Mechanical and Electronic aerospace components, systems and manufacturing processes. Main Responsibilities: Supplier Performance Monitoring Establish and maintain a robust system for monitoring supplier performance against key metrics, including quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness. Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to identify areas of improvement and adherence to contractual obligations. Data Analysis and Reporting Analyze supplier performance data to identify trends, areas of concern, and opportunities for improvement. Generate comprehensive reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and proposing corrective actions as needed. Continuous Improvement Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement improvement plans to address performance gaps and enhance overall efficiency. Excellent Operational and Technical ability to problem solve and complete RCCA with Suppliers. Relationship Management Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact for performance-related matters. Conduct regular supplier meetings to discuss performance metrics, improvement plans, and address any concerns. Risk Management Identify potential risks in the supply chain related to supplier performance and develop mitigation strategies. Collaborate with the procurement team to assess and manage risks associated with supplier relationships. Compliance and Standards Ensure that suppliers comply with industry regulations, quality standards, and contractual agreements. Work closely with the quality assurance team to implement and monitor compliance with aerospace industry standards. Other Responsibilities: Ensure compliance to all business policies and procedures and where applicable offer suggestions for continuous improvement of processes. Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements for suppliers, ethical trading standards and flow down of customer quality and delivery terms as required by the business. Undertake other duties commensurate with the role that may be required to support business needs. Preferred Educational Background: 5 years of experience in Supplier Performance, Supply Chain Management or Supplier Quality roles. Professional training such as CIPS level 4 or equivalent qualification from a recognised educational academic board or equivalent professional experience. Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related field from an accredited university. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Proven experience in supplier performance management within the aerospace industry. Strong understanding of aerospace supply chain processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment. Familiarity with relevant software tools and systems for data analysis and reporting.
