The company is a market-leading organisation within the Floorcoverings sector, looking to strengthen their senior management team with the key recruitment of a National Account Manager to manage a variety of accounts/agreements.

About the role
As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with key national accounts in the commercial sector. Your primary focus will be on driving sales growth, maintaining and developing existing supply chain agreements, and seeking new ones. You will identify major and strategic projects to secure their successful completion and, where necessary, engage together with the local sales teams.
You will be responsible for managing Supply Chain Agreements with leading Main Contractors, Distributors, and major End Users.
This role is critical to the sustainable growth and ultimate success of the business within the next decade and key points are:
1. Develop and execute strategies to effectively manage national accounts, ensuring long-term business relationships.
2. Identify key decision-makers within target accounts and establish strong relationships with them.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and exceed customer expectations.
4. Regularly engage with national accounts to understand their evolving needs and align our product offerings accordingly.
Sales Growth and Business Development:
1. Achieve sales targets and revenue growth objectives by proactively identifying new business opportunities within national accounts.
2. Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth areas. Develop appropriate tactics within defined strategy.
3. Excellent presentation skills.
4. Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at national accounts, including executives, purchasing managers, sustainability managers, and project managers.
6. Act as the primary point of contact for resolving customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations.
7. Regularly conduct business reviews with national accounts to assess customer satisfaction, address any issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Strategic Planning and Analysis:
1. Develop and implement strategic account plans to optimize sales growth and market penetration.
2. Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities to identify areas of improvement and develop appropriate strategies.
3. Prepare and present regular reports on key metrics, sales forecasts, and market insights to senior management.
4. Understand the changing requirements of key environmental drivers and their impact within the construction industry.
About the individual
The Ideal candidate will have the following experience:
1. Proven track record of successfully managing Supply chain agreements with Main Contractors and Distributors within the flooring or commercial interiors industry.
2. Existing knowledge of key targets and understanding of supply chain relationships with a variety of clients including Wilmot Dixon, BDP, Morgan Lovell, Keir, and End Users.
Remuneration
Basic Salary £75-80K, Bonus, Great Benefits, and Car.
