Candidate profile - IKEA Brighton are looking to welcome a Furniture Assembly Assistant to our new store! In IKEA, we call this a furniture builder.
Are you passionate about building beautiful, functional furniture? At IKEA Brighton, we are looking for skilled furniture builders to join our dynamic team. As a furniture builder, you will play a crucial role in bringing our innovative designs to life, ensuring each piece meets our high standards of quality and sustainability.
WHAT WE OFFER
• The Start Date of employment will be: Week beginning 16th June 2025.
• Competitive hourly rate of £13.25 per hour.
• 39 Hours working 5 days per week including day shift, evenings and alternative weekends per month.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
• Experience in assembling furniture, with basic DIY knowledge.
• Self-motivated and able to organise own workload in a busy environment with a strong attention to detail.
• Passion for home furnishing and peoples life at home.
• You have practical hands-on skills and a strong motivation for quality.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• Building furniture to a high standard to ensure our store displays provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
• Take responsibility to ensure furniture is built correctly and secured in line with health & safety/manual handling practices to ensure a safe shopping and working environment for our visitors and co-workers.
• Assisting Customers when there are questions related to the building of IKEA products.
• Collaborate with the sales team to support and implement range changes throughout the year.

The training plan for each co-worker will include a period of training prior to the store opening where travel to another IKEA Store will be organised and fully covered by IKEA. This ensures that any travel will not create any personal expenses and we will create as much flexibility as possible to suit individual needs.
