OESD’s technical team is a multi-disciplinary team that provides the required high-quality technical support to GM operating facilities (Refineries, NGLF, and petrochemical plants) inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia & across the globe.
Your primary role is to provide process engineering and operations expertise to monitor, optimize, and drive performance improvement programs for refineries’ SRU & SWS, including remote and field technical advisory support, benchmarking, and SRU & SWS technology knowledge management and exchange. You will drive the performance improvement programs which enhance process safety, optimize manufacturing cost, and increase plant reliability.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate, you will be required to perform the following:
1. Review and monitor the performances of existing SRU & SWS facilities through key performance indicators (KPIs) representing the process plant’s optimum operability, profitability, reliability, and process safety.
2. Issue quarterly SRU & SWS performance benchmarking reports highlighting the KPIs, analysis, and performance improvement recommendations.
3. Monitor and support the facilities in implementing the recommendations and closing the gaps identified in the quarterly performance benchmarking reports.
4. Conduct benchmarking and best practices exchange workshops internally among Global Manufacturing facilities (wholly-owned and affiliates) having SRU & SWS process technologies.
5. Execution and deliverables of the workshops will be based on Benchmarking & Best Practices Exchange Agreement among Global Manufacturing facilities.
6. Issue by-monthly SRU & SWS technical best practices bulletin for sharing within Global Manufacturing facilities.
7. Provide on-demand remote and/or field technical advisory support to Global Manufacturing facilities on matters concerning the operation of SRU & SWS which may include but not limited to process troubleshooting, start-up and shutdown activities, capacity test runs, technology pilot testing, and process design.
8. Issue service report for every support activity provided highlighting the facilities' needs, actions taken, results, and lessons learned.
9. Conduct internal assessments on SRU & SWS process engineering standards.
10. Highlight any deviations or better standards applied by affiliates for endorsement to facility management or Central Engineering.
11. Support the implementation of relevant engineering standards to SRU & SWS across Global Manufacturing upon each facility management’s approval.
12. Support arrangement and facilitation of technical knowledge exchange workshops with SRU & SWS process technology licensors and Global Manufacturing facilities.
13. Act as overall coordinator on any SRU & SWS data required by Global Manufacturing Affiliate Affairs.
