We are recruiting for a High Intensity Therapist at HMP Huntercombe near Henley. This is a male foreign national Category C prison, providing a diverse and unique patient group for you to work with. You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing therapeutic interventions, supporting patients at Step 3, offering face-to-face assessment and treatment sessions, and facilitating group therapy sessions. You will work as part of the the Integrated Mental Health Team and you'll have the opportunity to actively participate in different projects and workstreams. As a specialist therapist you'll provide multilevel clinical and forensic services to help understand, prevent and ameliorate psychological distress and disorder, improving the mental health and well-being of service users. We offer supervision from skilled managers, with the opportunity tobecome a supervisor yourself and we provide staff with relevant CPD and training intrauma-based therapies such as EMDR and Narrative Exposure Therapy. Main duties of the job Accountability for own professional actions, exercises discretion in determining how objectives are to be achieved and works independently on a day-to-day basis within the overall framework of relevant trust/team/service principles, policies and procedures, the appropriate professional codes of practice and terms and conditions of employment Contribution to care provision of prisoners by providing consultation to the multidisciplinary team and ongoing support to create and implement care and treatment plans Undertaking assessment where appropriate Delivering individual and group psychological interventions, where appropriate Evaluating the effectiveness of individual and group interventions Providing consultation and supervision to team colleagues in the delivery of psychologically informed treatments Involvement in the leadership team alongside the multi-disciplinary team to assist with service improvement and the implementation of service changes.
